Golf Day Registration Form

The Knox Club is proud to announce that we will holding our annual Fundraising Golf Day on Sunday 22^nd March 2020. Our aim is raise funds for the Eastern Health Foundation, who are committed to providing positive health experiences for people and communities in Melbourne’s east.

Donations to Eastern Health will be used towards improving treatment and the experience of cancer patients and their families. Over the past years the Knox Club have helped raise funds for two scalp cooling machines and a 3D mammography machine for Maroondah Hospital’s new Breast and Cancer Centre. The scalp cooling machines help reduce the hair loss and maintain dignity for women with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy while the 3D mammography machine can detect up to 40% more cancers and will allow for more research in changing the standard breast screening practice from 2D to 3D.

This day is designed to have fun whilst raising much needed funds. We invite teams of 4 players to challenge in our Annual Charity Golf Day. The event will be 4 Ball Ambrose with a shotgun start (approx.. 7.45am). Social handicaps are welcome and breakfast will be available at the course prior to the game. Following the game there will be lots of fun back at the Knox Club with presentations, raffles and great spinning wheel prizes.

Our Charity Golf Day has been held annually in conjunction with the Cancer Council Victoria and most recently Eastern Health Foundation for the last eighteen years. During this time our fundraising efforts have raised a total of $475,000 which has been donated towards cancer research and cancer treatment equipment. Last year the Knox Club Committee elected to donate $20,000 towards Eastern Health Foundation. This money was used to provide extra staffing at Maroondah Hospital’s Breast and Cancer Centre. The additional staff meant better care and support for cancer patients and their families.
