The Knox Club are major sponsors of numerous local sporting and community clubs. The club has also donated funds over the years to numerous charities or organisations. We are proud of what we offer to our community. Come in and see why the Knox Club has been a local favourite!
Proudly Supporting the Community
Eastern Health Cancer Foundation
From 2017 to 2019 the Knox Club donated $20,000 each year to Eastern Health used towards improving treatment and the experience of cancer patients and their families.
Funds donated helped towards the purchase of two scalp cooling machines and a 3D mammography machine for Maroondah Hospital’s new Breast and Cancer Centre.Funds were also used to provide extra staffing at Maroondah Hospital’s Breast and Cancer Centre.
Cancer Council Victoria
From around 2000 to 2016 the club conducted an annual charity golf day and Oaks Day luncheon for the purpose of raising money for the Cancer Council Victoria. Whatever funds were raised, the Knox Club donated a like amount which resulted in total donations of $475,000 paid to the Cancer Council Victoria.
Boronia CFA
In 2009 the Knox Club Charity Golf Day rasied and donated $20,000 to the Boronia CFA to go towards the purchase of a new fire truck.
Upwey-Tecoma Bowls Club
The Upwey Tecoma Bowls Club had unfortunately fallen victim to a vicious scam in 2023, costing them more than $100,000 in the process of rebuilding their facilities.
Knox Club are happy to share that we are donating $10,000 to the Upwey-Tecoma Bowls Club, to assist them in their financial recovery and to help them rebuild their facilities so they can continue to provide for their local community!
